Imported European Dairy {any brand}
Substitute for US dairy products
Did you know that most developed nations EXCEPT
the US have banned the use of rBGH, or genetically-
engineered bovine growth hormone, in milk and milk
products? rBGH is completely banned in the
European Union, Canada, Australia, New Zealand
and Japan. (In fact, American milk is a banned import in the EU!) So next time you debate which cheese or yogurt to buy, reach for the imported one.
Unsweetened Almondmilk Coconutmilk Blend {Almond Breeze}
So rich and creamy, but less overwhelmingly almond-y tasting with the coconut milk blend. So amazing that this rich drink has only 45 calories a cup…that’s HALF the calories of skim milk, and so much more gratifying! (Dairy, soy, lactose, cholesterol and gluten free).
NOTE: Be sure to get the unrefrigerated container to enjoy the rich flavor at its fullest!
LiveActive 2% Cottage Cheese {Breakstone’s}
Probiotics, 3g of fiber, and 10g of protein in the perfect snack size!
2% Greek Yogurt {Fage}
Twice the protein as regular yogurt in the richest, creamiest texture imaginable… I keep pinching myself to remember its not cheesecake. Note: 2% taste so much better and more original than 0%. Fage is also the brand that’s most authentic, or Greek!
This butter is AMAZING! It has half the calories and fat of butter, no cholesterol and no trans fats… and tastes even richer than the real stuff!
Almond Breeze - Unsweetened Vanilla {Blue Diamond Growers}
This almond milk as a great dairy alternative… with 50% fewer calories, even richer taste, and low glycemic! Be sure to get the unsweetened version to reap these benefits though. From my experience it’s best with cereal or as a recipe ingredient rather than as a solo beverage choice.
NOTE: Be sure to get the unrefrigerated container to enjoy the rich flavor at its fullest!
Organic 1% Low Fat Milk {Stonyfield Farm}
I swear organic milk tastes better than regular milk, but this one is extra delicious.
I tried a store-brand organic milk the other day to see if I could save some money, but it couldn’t compare in taste. I’m back to Stonyfield!
